Firm pocket springs, body moulding memory foam and a chic faux suede divan base make the Orthopaedic Memory Pocket 2000 single bed a very popular choice with our customers. The mattress offers a traditional orthopaedic support and is upholstered in a soft touch cover that features a hand tufted finish for extra durability. The benefit of hand tufting is it pre-tensions the mattress by passing tapes through it at regular intervals and securing them on each side with a cotton tuft. This practice ensures the layers of fillings are held securely in place and significantly reduces the possibility of upholstery movement that can cause mattresses to go lumpy. The 25mm memory foam layer is temperature sensitive, designed to soften when it comes into contact with warm surfaces and moulds itself to your body shape. This reduces the pressure points on your body, creating better blood circulation and resulting in less tossing and turning by evenly distributing your body weight. The pocket springs are totally independent, each encased within its own fabric sleeve so the load on one spring does not affect the one next to it. This allows the pocket spring mattress to contour perfectly to your body shape. The result is a spring system that directly supports at the point of contact and is not affected by varying weights and body shapes, providing piston-like support to each part of your body. The mattress is purposely designed to be one-sided and does not need to be flipped over; however it is still required to be rotated regularly from head to toe. Supporting the mattress is a platform style, solid top divan base that is designed to give your mattress a slightly firmer feel. It is offered with a range of storage options and base colours, natural, black, sand or cappuccino.
