It is expertly tailored in a quality cotton cover and features a micro quilted finish. This process secures the outer fabric to the top layers of fillings to prevent upholstery movement. Internally the mattress benefits from a wool layer; this is soft, supportive and breathable. It is warm in the winter and cool in the summer; ensuring a more refreshing sleeping surface. It further boasts cashmere and silk layers that are luxuriously soft, exceptionally long lasting and comfortable. Beneath the layers of natural fillings is a 12.5 gauge open coil spring system; this is a supportive, robust and durable spring unit. To avoid border breakdown and increase the life span of your mattress; a thick rod-edge wire is attached around the perimeter of the spring unit. This additional rod-edge support also allows you to sleep comfortably right up to the edge of the mattress without the sensation of rolling off. Supporting the mattress is a platform style, solid top faux suede divan base that gives your mattress a slightly firmer feel.
