Supplied by Deluxe Beds, the Natural Orthopaedic Firm single divan set has a firm open coil spring system and layers of natural fillings including wool, silk and cashmere. The mattress has a quality cotton cover that features a hand tufted finish; a process that ensures the fillings are held securely in place and reduces upholstery movement. Wool is a soft, yet supportive and breathable filling that retains its warmth in the winter months and displays its cool characteristics in the summer time. Cashmere and Silk fillings are extremely durable and generally found in high end mattresses to add a luxurious and comfortable feel to the mattress. The foundation of the mattress is its spring system, a 12.5 gauge open coil unit and one of the firmest wires used in mattress manufacturing. Open coil systems are robust, durable and made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. The perimeter of the spring unit is reinforced by a thick, rod-edge wire that adds support to the border of the mattress. This lets you sleep right up to the edge without the sensation of rolling off. The mattress is supported upon a platform style, solid top divan base that gives your mattress a slightly firmer feel. You can select from several storage options and four base colours, natural, black, sand or cappuccino. You can also opt to have your divan base on standard castors or stylish silver glides.
