The Elegance Orthopaedic Luxury divan set has a firm spring unit with generous layers of fillings to provide support and comfort. Several layers of white fibre fillings are combined with firm fillings to create a supportive, yet comfortable sleeping surface. The mattress is well upholstered in a soft to touch woven fabric cover that is hand tufted for additional strength and durability. The hand tufting process is a series of tapes that are passed through the mattress at regular intervals and secured with a cotton tuft on each side. This procedure secures the generous layers of white fibre fillings and pre-tensions the mattress. The result is a firmer feel and ensures the fillings stay in place. The spring system in the Elegance Orthopaedic Luxury is a 12.5 gauge open coil unit, one of the firmest wires used in mattress manufacturing. Its robust, durable and made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. The perimeter of the spring unit is reinforced by a thick, rod-edge wire that adds support to the border of the mattress. This lets you sleep right up to the edge without the sensation of rolling off. The mattress boasts 2 rows of hand side stitching; a labour intensive process that sews the pocket springs to the outside of the mattress border. The side stitched process provides total edge to edge support and prevents the border from bowing out and enhances the life span of the mattress. The mattress is presented with a stylish faux suede divan base, a solid top that is designed to give a slightly firmer feel to your mattress. The base is offered in four desirable colours, with a wide range of storage combinations and the choice of standard castors or contemporary silver glides. The Elegance Orthopaedic Luxury at 28cm deep is well specified and provides a very supportive and comfortable sleeping surface. Please note: Headboard is not included.
