At 28cm, the mattress is deeply filled and enjoys a blend of firm open coil springs and natural fillings such as wool, silk and cashmere. The mattress is tailored in a plush cotton cover and features a micro quilted finish. This process secures the outer fabric to the top layers of fillings to avoid upholstery movement. Internally the mattress benefits from a wool layer; this is soft, supportive and breathable. It is warm in the winter and cool in the summer; ensuring a comfortable sleep surface. It further boasts cashmere and silk layers that are luxuriously soft, extremely long lasting and comfortable. Beneath the layers of natural fillings is a 12.5 gauge open coil spring system; this is a supportive, robust and durable spring unit. To prevent border breakdown and increase the life span of your mattress; a thick rod-edge wire is attached around the perimeter of the spring unit. This additional rod-edge support also allows you to sleep comfortably right up to the edge of the mattress without the sensation of rolling off.
