The Nicole Traditional Pocket 1000 single divan set combines extra firm pocket springs with sumptuous fillings and a stylish faux suede base. At 27cm deep, the Nicole mattress is generously filled with hypo-allergenic white fibre fillings and features a luxurious damask cover with a hand tufted finish. The hand tufting pre-tensions the mattress by inserting nylon tapes through it at regular intervals and securing them on both sides with a cotton tuft. The hand tufting process ensures the layers of fillings are held securely in place and also results in a firmer sleeping surface. The interior of the mattress boasts pressure sensitive pocket springs, each housed within its own cloth compartment; allowing the springs to work independently of one another. The pocket springs provide piston-like support to each part of the sleepers body, resulting in a spring system that directly supports at the point of contact. The spring unit is not affected by varying weights and body shapes allowing the pocket spring interior to contour perfectly to your body shape. The border of the mattress boasts 2 rows of traditional hand side stitching; a labour intensive process that sews the pocket springs to the border of the mattress. The side stitched process provides total edge to edge support; prevents the border from bowing out and increases the life span of the mattress. The mattress rests upon a solid top faux suede divan base that is designed to give your mattress a slightly firmer feel. It is offered with a range of storage options and base colours, natural, black, sand or cappuccino. You can also opt to have your divan base on standard castors or upgrade to chic silver glides.
