The mattress is substantially filled and is expertly tailored in a luxurious damask fabric cover that is hand tufted for additional strength and durability. The hand tufting process pre-tensions the mattress and ensures the generous layers of fillings are secured firmly in place Internally the mattress boasts pressure sensitive pocket springs. Each spring is housed within its own fabric sleeve, ensuring the load on one spring is not affected by the one next to it. The springs provide piston-like support to each part of the sleepers body, resulting in a spring system that directly supports at the point of contact. The spring system is not affected by varying weights and body shapes allowing the pocket spring interior to contour perfectly to your individual body shape. The border of the mattress features 2 rows of hand side stitching; a labour intensive process that sews the pocket springs to the perimeter of the mattress. The side stitching procedure strengthens the border of the mattress, providing total edge to edge support. It also prevents the side panels from collapsing and increases the life span of the mattress. Supporting the mattress is a stylish faux suede divan base; it has a solid top and is specifically designed to give a slightly firmer feel to your mattress. The base is offered in four desirable colours, with a wide range of storage combinations and the choice of standard castors or chic silver glides.
