The Renaissance Pocket 3000 divan set brings together a stylish faux suede divan base and a highly specified, firm pocket spring mattress. At 31cm deep, the Renaissance mattress is generously filled with hypo-allergenic white fibre fillings and features a knitted stretch fabric cover with a hand tufted finish. Hand tufting pre-tensions the mattress by inserting nylon tapes through it at regular intervals and securing them on both sides with a cotton tuft. The hand tufting procedure ensures the layers of fillings are held in place and also results in a firmer sleeping surface. The foundation of the mattress is its two-tier pocket sprung interior (3000 in a king size) where a layer of mini pocket springs rest upon standard size pocket springs. Each pocket spring is placed in its own individual cloth sleeve so the load on one spring isnt affected by the one next to it ensuring no roll together. The pocket springs provide piston-like support to each part of the sleepers body, resulting in a spring system that directly supports at the point of contact. The spring system is not affected by varying weights and body shapes allowing the pocket spring interior to contour perfectly to your body shape. An additional feature is its 2 rows of hand side stitching; a labour intensive process that sews the turns on the pocket springs to the mattress border. The side stitching procedure provides total edge to edge support and prevents the side panels from bowing out. It also enhances the life span of the mattress.
