The mattress features an innovative two-tier pocket spring system with a knitted stretch fabric cover and a hand tufted finish. The hand tufting process pre-tensions the mattress by inserting nylon tapes through it at regular intervals and fastening them on both sides with a cotton tuft. The benefit of the hand tufting process is it secures the layers of fillings in place; resulting in a firmer sleeping surface. The foundation of the mattress is its two-tier pocket sprung interior (3000 in a king size) where a layer of mini pocket springs rest upon standard size pocket springs. Each pocket spring is housed within its own individual fabric compartment; so the load on one spring isnt affected by the one next to it ensuring no roll together. The pocket springs provide piston-like support to each part of the sleepers body, resulting in a spring system that directly supports at the point of contact.
