These tapes are secured on each side with a cotton tuft which pre-tensions the mattress, resulting in a firmer feel. It also ensures the fillings stay in place. Its open coil spring system is robust, durable and made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. The border of the mattress is strengthened by a thick, rod-edge wire that adds support to the perimeter of the mattress. This lets you sleep right up to the edge without the sensation of rolling off. Supporting the mattress is a stylish solid top faux suede divan base. It is presented in four desirable colours and with a variety of storage combinations.
