These tapes are fastened on each side with a cotton tuft which pre-tensions the mattress, resulting in a firmer feel. It also ensures the fillings stay in place. Its open coil spring system is strong, durable and made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. The perimeter of the mattress is reinforced by a thick, rod-edge wire that helps to avoid border breakdown and allows you the full width of the sleeping surface. The mattress rests upon a solid top, platform style divan base and is upholstered in a durable faux suede cover. The base is offered in four colourways, natural, black, sand or capppuccino, colour swatches can be viewed above.
