The mattress is well tailored with a luxury chenille cover and features a hand tufted finish, a process that passes a series of tapes through the mattress panels at regular intervals. These tapes are fastened on each side with a cotton tuft which pre-tensions the mattress, resulting in a firmer feel and ensuring the fillings stay in place. Its open coil spring system is robust, durable and made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. The border of the spring unit is strengthened by a thick, rod-edge wire that adds support to the perimeter of the mattress. This lets you sleep right up to the edge without the sensation of rolling off. Completing the set is a stylish platform style, solid top divan base that is designed to give the mattress a slightly firmer feel. The base is well tailored in soft and durable faux suede and is presented in four desirable colours, natural, black, sand and cappuccino.
