The mattress has a luxurious chenille cover and features a hand tufted finish, a process that passes a series of tapes through the mattress panels at regular intervals. These tapes are secured on each side with a cotton tuft which pre-tensions the mattress, resulting in a firmer feel and ensuring the fillings remain in place. Its open coil spring system is strong, durable and made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. The perimeter of the mattress is reinforced by a thick, rod-edge wire that helps to avoid border breakdown and allows you the full width of the sleeping surface. We have teamed this mattress with a platform style, solid top faux suede divan base. It is offered in four modern colours, natural, black, sand or cappuccino and with a diverse range of storage combinations. There is also the option of having your divan base with standard castors or upgrading to chic silver glide feet.
