The Backcare is the ultimate extra firm small double divan bed; it offers an orthopaedic support and is available at a budget price. The mattress is expertly tailored using a luxury damask fabric cover and features a hand tufted finish for added strength and durability. Several layers of white fibre fillings are combined with extra firm fillings to produce a firm, yet comfortable sleeping surface. The hand tufting process involves a series of tapes being passed through the mattress at regular intervals and securing them on both sides with a cotton tuft. This procedure ensures the generous layers of white fibre fillings are kept securely in place. It also pre-tensions the mattress resulting in a firmer feel. The spring system in the Backcare is a 12.5 gauge open coil unit, one of the firmest wires used in mattress manufacturing. Its strong, durable and made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. The border of the mattress is reinforced by a thick, rod-edge wire that adds support to the perimeter of the mattress. This allows you to sleep right up to the edge without the sensation of rolling off. The modern faux suede divan base is a platform style, solid top, designed to offer your mattress a slightly firmer feel. It is offered in four colours, natural, black, sand or cappuccino and with a diverse range of storage combinations. There is also the choice of standard castors or stylish silver glides.
