The mattress is expertly upholstered in a premium damask fabric cover with a hand tufted finish that pre-tensions the mattress for a firmer feel. The foundation of the mattress is its spring interior, an impressive two-tier pocket spring system (3000 in a king size) where a layer of mini pocket springs rest upon standard sized pocket springs. Each spring is encased within its own individual cloth pocket, ensuring the load on one spring does not affect the one neighbouring it; thus preventing roll together. The pocket springs provide piston-like support to every part of the sleepers body, resulting in a spring system that directly supports at the point of contact. The spring system is not affected by varying weights and body shapes allowing the pocket spring interior to contour perfectly to your individual body shape. The perimeter of the mattress features 3 rows of hand side stitching; a labour intensive process that sews the pocket springs to the mattress border.
