The mattress is skilfully upholstered in a quality damask fabric cover and features a hand tufted finish that pre-tensions the mattress for a firmer feel. The foundation of the mattress is its impressive spring interior, a two-tier pocket spring system (3000 in a king size) where a layer of mini pocket springs rest upon standard sized pocket springs. Each spring is encased within its own individual fabric pocket. This ensures the load on one spring does not affect the one neighbouring it; thus preventing roll together. The pocket springs provide piston-like support to every part of the sleepers body, resulting in a spring system that directly supports at the point of contact. The spring system is not affected by varying weights and body shapes allowing the pocket spring interior to contour perfectly to your individual body shape. The perimeter of the mattress features 3 rows of hand side stitching; a labour intensive process that sews the pocket springs to the mattress border.
