The Shire Beds double reinforced divan base is an ideal solution for those people who require a bed base that's specially built to take additional wear and tear. A standard platform top divan base is constructed using a timber framework that has wooden straps running across the width with a top board attached to them. To create a reinforced base, additional wooden straps are fitted to the divans framework with a double thick top board fitted to provide extra strength and durability. The Shire base comes with a choice of faux suede colours, a variety of drawer storage and the option of standard castors or stylish silver glide feet. We have 3 headboards available to enhance this stylish divan bed base. Their floor standing design ensures they are sturdier than a standard strutted headboard. It comes with headboard fixing on both ends, all you have to do is pierce the fabric at the end you wish to fit a headboard and screw in the bolts that come supplied.
