A traditional deep base divan consists of a timber box construction with wood strapping running across the framework and a top board to provide its platform style. To add further stability and reinforce a bed base, additional wooden straps are fitted to the divans frame, with a double thick top board ensuring extra strength. From the drop-down tabs above, you can choose from a variety of storage options and to enhance the look of the bed, there are 3 floor standing headboards too. Resting firmly on the floor, these tall headboards are sturdier than your average strutted styles and won't rock back and forth unexpectedly if you rest against it. To ensure longevity from your bed, we would generally recommend that you pair your reinforced base with a firm support mattress or an extra firm mattress.
