Shire 4ft Victoria Small Double Reinforced Divan Base

Designed to withstand extra wear and tear, the Victoria 4ft base from Shire Beds is manufactured with strength plus style in mind and is covered in a durable weave fabric. A standard small double base has a build that consists of a timber frame with wooden supports running across its width and a top board attached to the strapping. For extra strength and durability, a reinforced 4ft base provides a solid foundation with the addition of extra wooden straps across the framework and a double thick top board. The majority of divan bases are covered in their chosen fabric around the perimeter with a non-slip cover on the top lid and attached by a tape edge around the border. The Victoria also has a non-slip top lid, but features a tidier looking border as the fabric wraps over the top of the base to create a cleaner tailored edge. The base has a choice of attractive fabric colours and a selection of storage options. It comes with headboard fixing on both ends, simply pierce the fabric at the end you wish to fit a headboard and screw in the bolts supplied. Complete the look of the divan by adding one of the floor standing headboards. Available in the same fabric, floor standing headboards are more robust than standard strutted designs.
