The Memory flex Ikea size double mattress is 140cm wide and 200cm long, bigger than a UK double at 135cm x190cm and perfect for European size double bed frames. The mattress features a robust and durable open coil spring system, a layer of memory foam, a hand tufted finish and a soft to touch knitted stretch fabric cover. Hand tufting is a process that is achieved by passing tapes through the mattress at regular intervals and securing them on both sides with a cotton tuft. The result is, all layers are attached securely to the spring interior, ensuring the upholstery is less likely to move and cause the mattress to go lumpy. The memory foam layer is 25cm deep, temperature sensitive and designed to soften when it comes into contact with warm surfaces and moulds itself to the sleepers body shape. It reduces the pressure points on your body. Less pressure points create better blood circulation, resulting in less tossing and turning by evenly distributing your body weight. Its open coil spring system is robust, durable and made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. The border of the mattress is strengthened by a thick, rod-edge wire that adds support to the perimeter of the mattress. This lets you sleep right up to the edge without the sensation of rolling off.
