The Limoges Traditional Pocket 1500 mattress is 140cm wide and 200cm long, bigger than a standard UK double at 135cm x190cm and the perfect size for Ikea double size bed frames. The mattress is well specified and has a combination of a hand tufted damask cover, hypo-allergenic white fibre fillings and totally independent pocket springs. The hand tufting process is achieved by passing a series of tapes through the mattress at regular intervals and securing them on both sides with a cotton tuft. This procedure secures the generous layers of fillings and pre-tensions the mattress. The result is a firmer feel and ensures the fillings stay in place. The interior of the mattress features totally independent pocket springs, each in its own fabric pocket so the load on one spring isnt affected by the one next to it. The springs provide piston-like support to each part of the sleepers body, resulting in a spring system that directly supports at the point of contact. It is not affected by varying weights and body shapes allowing the pocket spring interior to contour perfectly to your body shape. The spring count of 1500 is based on a king size. A labour intensive side stitched process is applied to the mattress perimeter and sews the pocket springs to the mattress border. The process of side stitching provides total edge to edge support, prevents the side panels from bowing out and enhances the lifespan of the mattress. To take care of the mattress it is required to be flipped over and rotated from head to toe regularly. This will even out the wear and tear and also add to the mattress lifespan.
