The mattress has layers of hypo-allergenic white fibre fillings and an attractive and durable damask cover with a hand tufted finish. Hand tufting is a series of tapes being passed through the mattress at regular intervals and secured on each side with a cotton tuft. This procedure pre-tensions the mattress resulting in a firmer feel. The Limoges mattress boasts an impressive pocket sprung interior. Each spring is encased within its own fabric sleeve; allowing the springs to work independently of one another. The pocket springs provide piston-like support to each part of the sleepers body, resulting in a spring system that directly supports at the point of contact. The spring system is not affected by varying weights and body shapes allowing the pocket spring interior to contour perfectly to your unique body shape. A side stitched process is added to the outer rows of springs around the edge. It is a labour intensive process that sews the turns of the springs to the mattress border. This procedure provides total edge to edge support; preventing the side panels from collapsing and increasing the life span of the mattress. Completing the divan set is a platform style, solid top base that is purposely designed to give the mattress a slightly firmer feel.
