This mattress is 10cm longer than a standard single sized mattress and is designed to accompany Ikea and continental sized bed frames. It boasts a hand tufted finish, a process that involves a series of tapes being passed through the mattress panels at regular intervals and securing them on each side with a cotton tuft. This pre-tensions the mattress and secures the generous layers of white fibre fillings firmly in place; resulting in a firmer feel. The interior of the mattress features pressure sensitive pocket springs, each in its own fabric pocket so the load on one spring isnt affected by the one neighbouring it. The springs provide piston-like support to each part of the sleepers body, creating a spring system that directly supports at the point of contact.
