A standard platform top divan base has a construction that is made up of a timber frame with wooden supports running across its width and a top board attached to the strapping. To reinforce a base that will withstand additional wear and tear, extra wooden slats are added the frame as well as a double thick top board to provide a strong and sturdy support. The luxury small single base provides a solid foundation for your mattress and is available as a non-storage divan, or you can have two handy sized side storage drawers. To complement this stylish divan base, there are matching floor standing headboards available. Floor standing designs are sturdier than standard strutted headboards.
