Although the core of the Elastacoil 6ft mattress is made up of an extra-firm spring unit it still offers a medium support, thanks to its layer of memory foam, gentle fillings and a soft to touch fabric cover. A knitted stretch fabric is used to upholster the mattress and benefits from a micro tufted finish that has the look of hand tufting, but without the tuft and ensures the layers of fillings are held securely in place. Its 25mm layer of visco elastic memory foam is temperature sensitive and specifically designed to soften when it comes into contact with warm surfaces, such as your body heat. It moulds itself to your body shape, reduces pressure points by evenly distributing your body weight and results in better blood circulation and reduces tossing and turning. Its support comes from a strong open coil interior that consists of hourglass shaped springs, set in rows running from head to toe and connected into one single unit by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. To prevent border breakdown and ensures the mattress retains its shape throughout its lifespan; a thick rod-edge wire is attached around the perimeter of the spring unit.
