Hand tufting pre-tensions the mattress by inserting nylon tapes through it at regular intervals and securing them on both sides with a cotton tuft. The hand tufting process ensures the layers of fillings are held securely in place; resulting in a firmer sleeping surface. The interior of the mattress boasts pressure sensitive pocket springs, each encased within its own fabric compartment; allowing the springs to work independently of one another. The pocket springs provide piston-like support to each part of the sleepers body, resulting in a spring system that directly supports at the point of contact. The spring unit is not affected by varying weights and body shapes allowing the pocket spring interior to contour perfectly to your individual body shape.
