The Nicole Traditional Pocket 2000 from Deluxe Beds is a well filled mattress at 27cm deep and features extra firm pocket springs for an orthopaedic support. Boasting generous layers of hypo-allergenic fillings, the Nicole mattress is upholstered in a hard wearing damask cover thats hand tufted for additional durability. Hand tufting pre-tensions the mattress by inserting nylon tapes through it at regular intervals and securing them on both sides with a cotton tuft. The benefit of the hand tufting process ensures the layers of fillings are held in place and also results in a firmer sleeping surface. The interior of the mattress boasts totally independent pocket springs, each housed in its own cloth sleeve so the load on one spring is not affected by the one next to it. The pocket springs provide piston-like support to each part of the sleepers body, resulting in a spring system that directly supports at the point of contact. The spring unit is not affected by varying weights and body shapes allowing the pocket spring interior to contour perfectly to your body shape. The border of the mattress boasts 2 rows of hand side stitching; a labour intensive process that sews the pocket springs to the perimeter of the mattress.
