Deluxe Beds produced the Natural Pocket 1000 king size mattress by combining the finest natural fillings including wool, cotton, silk and cashmere. The mattress is substantially filled and skilfully upholstered in a plush damask fabric cover that is hand tufted for added strength and durability. The hand tufting process pre-tensions the mattress and ensures the generous layers of fillings are secured firmly in place. Internally the mattress features pressure sensitive pocket springs, each housed within its own fabric sleeve. This ensures the load on one spring is not affected by the one next to it. The springs provide piston-like support to each part of the sleepers body, resulting in a spring system that directly supports at the point of contact. The spring system is not affected by varying weights and body shapes, allowing the pocket spring interior to contour perfectly to your individual body shape. The outer edge of the mattress features 2 rows of hand side stitching; a labour intensive process that sews the pocket springs to the mattress perimeter. The benefit of side stitching is it strengthens the border of the mattress and provides total edge to edge support. It also prevents the side panels from collapsing and increases the life span of the mattress.
