Supplied by Deluxe Beds, the Cotton Pocket 2000 mattress combines extra firm, orthopaedic pocket springs and generous layers of white fibre fillings. Substantially filled at 27cm deep, the mattress is skilfully upholstered in a hard wearing and attractive cotton cover thats hand tufted for extra durability. The hand tufting process pre-tensions the mattress by passing tapes through it at regular intervals and securing them on each side with a cotton tuft. This procedure secures the generous layers of white fibre fillings and holds them in place, reducing the chance of upholstery movement that causes mattresses to go lumpy. The mattress interior is made up of totally independent pocket springs (2000 in a king size) that are each housed in their own cloth sleeve. This ensures the load on one spring isnt affected by the one next to it. The springs provide piston-like support to each part of the sleepers body, resulting in a spring system that directly supports at the point of contact.
