The mattress is substantially filled and is beautifully upholstered in a plush damask fabric cover that is hand tufted for additional strength and durability. The hand tufting process pre-tensions the mattress and ensures the generous layers of fillings are held securely in place. Internally the mattress boasts pressure sensitive pocket springs. Each spring is encased within its own fabric compartment to ensure the load on one spring is not affected by the one next to it. The springs provide piston-like support to each part of the sleepers body, resulting in a spring system that directly supports at the point of contact.
