Upholstered in a durable cotton fabric, the mattress benefits from a deep quilted finish that attaches the outer cover to the surface layers of filling in a diamond pattern. At the core of the mattress is a strong open coil spring interior that is made up of hourglass shaped springs set in rows and connected into one unit by a spiral helical wire. A thick 6 gauge rod-edge wire is attached to the perimeter of the spring system. This prevents breakdown of the border and ensures the interior retains its shape throughout its lifespan.
