From Shire Beds Contract Collection, The small double Rainbow is manufactured to Crib 5 specifications and designed for use in the commercial and hospitality industry. Mattresses purchased for the above establishments must adhere to BS7177 ignition fire regularity standards that go further than those required for domestic use. Upholstered in a cotton cover with a choice of 5 colours, it consists of an interior made up of robust open coil springs and white fibre fillings that offer a firm support. Its open coil interior consists of rows of hour-glass shaped springs, connected into one single unit at the top and bottom by spiral wires, known as a helical wires. Extra strength is added to the border of the interior by attaching a thick rod-edge wire to the perimeter of the spring system. This prevents border breakdown on edges that are sat on regularly. This additional edge support allows you the use of the full width and lets you sleep comfortably right up to the edge without the sensation of rolling off. The mattress is dual-sided, so to extend its life we recommend that you flip it over and rotate it regularly from top to bottom.
