The Ortho Cheshire from Shire Beds is high in quality, well specified and consists of a firm 12.5 gauge open coil spring interior, layers of white fibre fillings and a resilient visco cotton cover. The mattress features a hand tufted finish; a process that passes tapes through it at regular intervals and attached on both sides with a cotton tuft to secure the fillings. Generously filled, the fillings within the Cheshire mattress are hypo-allergenic creating an ideal sleeping environment for allergy sufferers and asthmatics. Its firm support consists of a robust open coil spring system, made up of rows of hourglass springs connected into one unit by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. To strengthen the perimeter of the interior, a thick rod-edge wire is attached to the spring system. This prevents border breakdown and allows you the full width of the mattress. The mattress is dual sided and requires to be flipped over and rotated from head to toe. Flag stitched handles are fitted to the border to assist you with turning.
