To ensure the mattress retains a flat and comfortable surface, it features a hand tufted finish; a process that secures the fillings on both sides, reducing the chance of upholstery movement. Generously filled, the layers of fillings within the Cheshire mattress are hypo-allergenic creating an ideal sleeping environment for allergy sufferers and asthmatics. Its firm support consists of a strong and sturdy open coil spring system, made up of rows of hourglass springs connected into one unit by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. To strengthen the perimeter of the interior, a thick rod-edge wire is attached to the spring system. This prevents border breakdown and allows you the full width of the mattress. Dual sided, the mattress requires to be flipped over and rotated from head to toe. Flag stitched handles are fitted to the border to assist you with turning.
