The Shire Neptune Crib 5 Contract small double mattress blends a durable open coil spring interior and a PVC coated cover that is hypo-allergenic and waterproof. This affordable trade mattress adheres to BS7177 ignition fire regularity standards (also known as Source 5 or Crib 5), making it the perfect choice for the commercial market. The mattress is covered in a durable PVC coated fabric that is 100% waterproof. However the cover is still breathable and will allow air to circulate, helping to keep the bed occupant cool and comfortable. For an extra level of hygiene, the mattress has a wipe clean and hygienic surface, popular with student accommodation and care homes. At the core of the mattress there are layers of supportive fillings and a 13.5 gauge open coil spring system. The coils are assembled into one single unit with helical wire that joins the coils at the top and bottom to form several rows. An outer rod is then fitted around the perimeter of the finished construction to offer enhanced strength and support. Please note, this is a dual sided mattress and it will need to be flipped and rotated regularly, this will even out wear and tear for long-lasting comfort.
