Manufactured to crib 5 specifications, the Rainbow mattress from Shire Beds is specifically designed for use in the commercial and hospitality industry. Mattresses used in the above establishments must adhere to BS7177 ignition fire regularity standards that go further than those required for domestic home use. The Rainbow mattress offers a firm support and consists of an interior made up of robust open coil springs, white fibre fillings and a choice of 5 attractive colourways. Its open coil interior consists of rows of hour-glass shaped springs, connected into one single unit at the top and bottom by spiral wires, known as a helical wires. Extra strength is added to the border of the interior by attaching a thick rod-edge wire to the perimeter of the spring system. This prevents border breakdown on edges that are sat on regularly. This additional edge support allows you the use of the full width and lets you sleep comfortably right up to the edge without the sensation of rolling off. The mattress is dual-sided, so to extend its life we recommend that you flip it over and rotate it regularly from top to bottom.
