Divan sets used in the above establishments must adhere to BS7177 ignition fire regularity standards that go further that those required for domestic home use. The Source 5 small single set consists of a platform style, solid top base and a robust open coil mattress that offer a supportive and medium feel. At the core of the mattress is an interior made up of rows of hour glass shaped open coil springs, connected into one single unit by spiral wires, known as helical wires. The perimeter of the spring system is further strengthened by a thick rod-edge wire. This prevents border breakdown on edges that are sat on regularly. The mattress is dual-sided, so to extend its life we recommend that you flip it over and rotate it regularly from top to bottom. Although the Shire Source 5 is primarily designed for commercial use, it is still widely used in family home, due to its stricter fire ignition regulations.
