The king size Solar Luxury Dream divan set is substantial, supportive and comfortable. Its firm support mattress is complimented by the faux suede divan base. The mattress is upholstered in a hard wearing damask cover and has a hand tufted finish for extra strength and durability. Hand tufting pre-tensions the mattress to provide a firmer sleeping surface and ensures the fillings stay in place. The foundation of the mattress is its open coil spring system. It is made up of rows of hourglass shaped open coil springs, also known as Bonnell springs. Each spring is connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as the helical wire which runs from the head to the foot of the mattress. The perimeter of the spring unit is strengthened by a thick rod-edge wire that supports the edge of the spring system, preventing border breakdown. Supporting the mattress is our universal Solar platform top divan base. It is covered in soft and durable faux suede and is offered in a range of desirable colours. The base is presented with a selection of storage combinations and there is even the option of having standard castors or upgrading to contemporary silver glide feet.
