The hand tufting process ensures its deep layers of fillings are held firmly in place by passing tapes through the mattress and securing them on both sides with a cotton tuft. The interior of the mattress is made up of a robust 12.5 gauge open coil spring system, one of the firmest springs used in mattress manufacturing. Its a robust system that is made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. The border of the mattress is strengthened by a thick, rod-edge wire that adds support to the perimeter of the mattress. This lets you sleep right up to the edge without the sensation of rolling off.
