The Pearl mattress boasts a robust and sturdy open coil spring system, layers of non-allergenic fillings and a durable Belgian damask cover that features a hand tufted finish. Hand tufted mattresses are firmer as the fillings are tightly compressed by passing tapes through the mattress at regular intervals and secured on each side with a cotton tuft. The tufts are aimed at ensuring the layers of upholstery are held securely in place for the entire life of the mattress, resulting in less sagging and a longer lasting support. The interior of the mattress is made up of a robust 12.5 gauge open coil spring system, one of the firmest springs used in mattress manufacturing.
