The small single Solar backcare mattress has a firm open coil spring system and is upholstered in a quality damask cover with a micro quilted finish. Micro quilting sews the outer damask cover to the top layers creating a quilted pattern that covers the whole sleeping surface. This results in less upholstery movement avoiding any lumps appearing in the mattress. It has an open coil spring unit, also known as a Bonnell spring that offers a firm support. Open coil spring units are made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. To avoid border breakdown the edge of the spring unit is strengthened by a thick, rod-edge wire that adds support to the perimeter of the mattress. The mattress rests upon a solid top, platform style divan base and is available in a choice of faux suede cover. You can also opt to have your base on standard castors or stylish silver glides; with storage or without; simply select your preferences before adding to basket.
