Upholstered in a durable damask cover, the mattress displays a high loft micro quilted finish; a process that attaches the outer cover to the surface layers ensuring they are held firmly in place. Its layers of fillings are hypo-allergenic and have a high level of antimicrobial and dust mite resistance, resulting in an ideal sleeping environment for allergy sufferers or asthmatics. Its twin-tiered interior is made up of two layers of robust open coil springs that consist of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. For additional support, a thick rod-edge wire is attached to the perimeter of the spring unit. This prevents border breakdown and ensures the mattress retains its shape throughout its lifespan.
