The small single Opal Pocket 1500 mattress is beautifully upholstered in a quality Belgian damask cover and boasts an impressive pocket spring interior for superior lumber support. It features a hand tufted finish, a process where tapes are passed through the mattress at regular intervals and secured on each side with a traditional woollen tuft. Within the mattress are generous layers of hypo-allergenic fillings that include natural wool and cotton. These fillings help to your regulate body temperature as you sleep. The core of the mattress is made up of totally independent pocket springs; with each spring encased within a separate flexible fabric pocket. This allows each one to move independently and provide fantastic lower back support. This means the springs only compress where pressure is exerted, creating a more responsive feel and allowing for motion separation between both sides of the bed. A flat rod-edge metal frame is fitted to the perimeter of the spring unit to ensure the integrity of the nested pocket springs and allows you the full use of the mattress width.
