The Sleep Relax Opal Pocket 1500 is an exquisite double size mattress that features an impressive pocket spring interior for a superior sleeping surface. It is beautifully upholstered in a durable Belgian woven damask cover thats made from the softest natural viscose fibres and benefits from a hand tufted finish. Traditional woollen tufts are attached to both sides to secure the mattress fillings stay firmly in place. This results in a firmer sleeping surface and minimising the risk of upholstery movement. Within the mattress are generous layers of hypo-allergenic fillings that include natural wool and cotton. These fillings help to your regulate body temperature as you sleep. The core of the mattress is made up of totally independent pocket springs; with each spring encased within a separate flexible fabric pocket. This allows each one to move independently and provide fantastic lumbar support. This means the springs only compress where pressure is exerted, creating a more responsive feel and allowing for motion separation between both sides of the bed. A flat rod-edge metal frame is fitted to the perimeter of the spring unit to ensure the integrity of the nested pocket springs and allows you the full use of the mattress width. Normally reserved for high end mattresses, the Opal boasts 2 rows of genuine hand side stitching; a process that sews the perimeter rows of springs to the side panel of the mattress. This practise ensures total edge to edge support, prevents the side panels from bowing out when compressed and extends the lifespan of the mattress.
