Offering a firm support, the mattress is upholstered in a durable cotton cover and to secure its layers of white fibre fillings are held in place, a hand tufted finish is applied to the mattress. Traditional hand tufting is a process where several tapes are passed through the panels of the mattress at regular intervals and secured on both sides with a rosette shaped cotton tuft. Its pocket spring interior is made up of small diameter springs that are encased within separate cloth sleeves that allow them to move independently of any surrounding springs. The result is the springs only compress where pressure is applied, creating fantastic lumber support for a more responsive feel and will cradle your body contours perfectly. To add extra strength to the edge of the interior, a thick rod-edge wire is attached to the perimeter rows of springs. This provides additional support to the border of the mattress.
