Skilfully upholstered and neatly tailored, the mattress features a hand tufted finish; a process that secures the layers of fillings on both sides and ensures they are held firmly in place. Its generous layers within the mattress are made up of hypo-allergenic white fibre fillings that create an ideal sleeping environment for allergy sufferers and asthmatics. The foundation of the mattress is made up of a 12.5 gauge open coil interior, one of the firmest wire used in mattress manufacturing in the UK today. Open coil spring interiors consist of rows of robust springs running from head to toe and connected into one single unit by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. To add further strength to the unit, a thick 6 gauge rode-edge wire is attached to the perimeter of the spring system.
