Offering a soft and gentle support, the Eco Easy from Shire Beds is a deeply filled open coil mattress that boasts EcoShield, an intelligent fabric that provides total bed bug protection. Based on the oil extracted from the Eucalyptus Citriodora tree, EcoShield is the latest mattress technology and is known for its repellent qualities against bed bugs and dust mites. This oil is 100% natural, completely harmless and boasts anti-microbial and anti-bacterial properties, creating a perfect sleeping surface for allergy sufferers and asthmatics. Its knitted stretch fabric cover offers a soft and luxurious feel, whilst its hand tufted finish ensures the hypo-allergenic fillings are held securely in place on both sides. These generous layers provide the comfort, whereas its support comes from an interior made up open coil springs assembled into one single unit with helical wires that join the coils at the top and bottom to form several rows. Edge-to-edge support is provided by the addition of a heavy gauge rod-edge wire that is attached to both sides of the finished construction for extra strength and durability.
