At the core of the mattress is a sturdy open coil interior that is made up of hourglass shaped springs that run from head to toe and connected into one single unit by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. Extra edge support is achieved by attaching a thick 6 gauge rod-edge wire to the perimeter of the interior.
