Boasting a depth of 28cm, the Ortho Pocket 1000 small double mattress is designed with support and comfort in mind and features an interior made up of body-contouring pocket springs. A hand tufted finish is applied to the mattress to ensure its generous layers of hypo-allergenic fillings are held securely in place, dramatically reducing the chance of upholstery movement. Small diameter pocket springs are at the core of the mattress with each one encased within its own cloth pocket so the load on one spring doesnt affect any of the neighbouring springs. This allows the springs to contour perfectly to your body shape and provide piston-like support to each part of the body. They are not affected by varying weights and body shapes, resulting in a system that supports directly at the point of contact. A thick outer rod edge is then fitted around the perimeter of the finished structure, this offers additional strength and support, allowing you the full use of the mattress width. Please note, this is a dual sided mattress and will need to be flipped over and rotated on a regular basis, this will even out wear and tear for long-lasting comfort.
