Small double beds are becoming more popular due to bedrooms being smaller now. The Solar Comfort is a low cost small double mattress and perfect for a spare bedroom. The mattress has a poly-cotton cover which is quilted to the top layers of upholstery keeping the mattress flat and the fillings in place. It has a medium support open coil spring unit, also known as a Bonnell spring. Open coil spring units are made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire.
